No Annual Fee Travel Credit Cards

You can use your miles to pay for any travel you purchase with your card. No need for special travel websites or rules. Just use your card to pay for the purchase anywhere you'd like, then you have up to 180 days to use your miles to erase some or all of the charge. You can use as little as one mile at a time. 

Every mile is worth one cent toward travel purchases, so 10,000 miles is worth $100.

Simply book your travel however you choose with your card, then pay yourself back with points as statement credit. No need to use any special website - just buy the travel with your card and request the credit with your points afterward. 

There are no restrictions or blackout dates. You can cover any travel-related expense including airfare, hotels, car rentals, baggage fees, upgrades and more. And you can cover all or part of your trip. If you don't have enough points for an entire purchase, you can choose to use points to pay for just part of it. It's up to you.

You can use your points to 'erase' the cost of any travel purchase made on your card. There's no need to use any special website or travel agent - just buy the travel with your card anywhere you'd like.

For example if you have 10,000 miles in your account and buy a $300 plane ticket, you can use the 10,000 miles to take $100 off the cost of the ticket. 

Earns Chase Ultimate Rewards points. You can redeem for travel, gift cards, and more at www.UltimateRewards.com. Every 1,000 points = $10 in travel value. Or, request statement credit for cash back at the same rate.
 

If you also have an annual fee based Ultimate Rewards card like the Chase Sapphire Preferred or Ink Plus you can transfer the points you earn from this card into leading airline mile programs including United and Southwest at 1:1. This is a great companion for these cards because it has no annual fee and earns 1.5x points on everything, so you can boost your Ultimate Rewards balance.

You can use points to book flights, hotels, and car rentals via the reward program website. If you don't have enough points to cover a flight, you can use your card to charge the difference.

For flights, you can use the Wells Fargo GoFar Rewards website to book. 

Every point is worth 1.5 cents when you use the website to book flights, and you can choose to pay part in points, and part with your card. 

If you want to use statement credit, your points are worth 1 cent each. 

You can use your points for any purchase made on your card. Just buy something (it doesn't have to be travel) and use your points for statement credit. Every 10,000 points is worth $100.

Earns EarlyReturns miles that can be used on Frontier Airlines flights. You can book on the Frontier website or by calling Frontier.

With this card, you must book travel via the CU Rewards website or telephone center.

There are two options for your rewards:

The restricted ticket program

This charges you for a ticket based on what region you're trying to visit. Here are some examples of prices:
 

• U.S. 48: 25,000 points
• Hawaii (from California / Nevada): 40,500 points
• Hawaii (from other states) 59,000 points
• Europe: 79,000 points

To book this way, you must book at least 21 days in advance, and include a Saturday night stay on your trip. You also must fly in Economy Class and need enough points for the whole reward. You can't mix cash and points with these rewards.

Unrestricted "Dollars-Off"

This lets you redeem points for an airfare credit of $325. You still need to book your ticket via the CU Rewards website or phone center, but you can book any flight, including one way flights. If your ticket costs more than the $325 credit you can pay the rest on your card. 

You earn cash back you can use anywhere.

You can use points to book flights with most airlines.

This card earns Orbucks, which you can use to book many of the hotels available on Orbitz.com. Since this card earns 2 Orbucks for all purchases, you're earning 2% cash value toward rewards on everything you buy, a very generous earning rate for a no annual fee card. You have your choice of many hotels available at Orbitz.com, so your points aren't tied to any one chain, giving you more flexibility than traditional hotel rewards cards. However Orbitz prevents you from redeeming points at some hotels available on its website, though the majority are available for use with your points.

A downside is you can't use these points to book flights or rental cars. You can only use them to book free hotel nights, but the points you earn from the card never expire. 

Redeem at over 5,000 Choice Privileges hotels, including Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria Suites, Ascend, EconoLodge, Rodeway Inn, and more. Unfortunately you can only book nights 30 days in advance in the U.S. and Canada or 60 days in advance outside the U.S. and Canada. Free nights range from 6,000 to 35,000 points.

You can also transfer points to American, Alaska, Delta, Spirit, United, Southwest, and more with 5,000 points turning into 1,000 miles. For Southwest, 6,000 Choice points gets you 1,800 Rapid Rewards points.
