AAdvantage business class

Finding AAdvantage award space to Europe in Business Class this summer has been tough for a while.

There’s generally good space if you plan far ahead, 10 or 11 months before the flight.

But once you get less than 6 months out things get a lot harder, with either nothing for weeks at a time, or pockets that open up if you’re alert.

Here are some of those pockets available right now for travel to Europe in July and August, with space for at least 2 passengers per flight.

Chicago to London…

Philadelphia to Paris…

Boston to Paris…

Raleigh to London…

And Chicago to Manchester.

If you already have an award booked with British Airways surcharges involved, you can change your flights free of charge to one of these no surcharge options if you keep your origin and destination the same.

And if you don’t have an award booked, you can put AAdvantage awards on hold up to 5 days, while you decide, or wait to complete a transfer from Starwood Preferred Guest.

Almost all of American’s widebody long haul aircraft now have fully flat seats, though there will still be a few 767s flying around with older seats this summer.
