Saver award space in Business Class on American’s own flights to Europe is hard to come by, especially during the summer.
But right now lots of space has been opened up on some AA routes to Europe in August, and part of July.
Flights to Madrid are the most wide open.
Here’s space for at least 2 passengers on New York to Madrid nonstop in August…
July has decent availability as well…
Some days even have 4 or 5 seats on a single flight…
Philadelphia to Madrid gets in on the action in August…
So does Dallas…
And even Charlotte…
New York to Barcelona is also in on the action…
And so is New York to Zurich.
57,500 AAdvantage miles one way for a lie flat Business Class seat is a great deal, and usually pretty hard to come by during the summer months.
This availability might not last long, so your best bet is to go onto AA.com and put your award on hold. American will hold it for up to 5 days with no credit card required while you decide if this can work for your plans.
There’s also good award space to Southern South America (Brazil, Argentina, Chile) next Winter, which is Summer down there.

Funny (or sad) how fast this award availability disappears. The JFK routes listed above have no business saaver availability all summer now.
