Good Award Space: AA Business Class to Brazil, Chile, Argentina during months you want to go

by on Fri March 17, 2017 • No Comment

AAdvantage business class

Southern South America is a great place to visit, but the flights are long and expensive, without the kind of competition you see on routes to Europe and Asia.

So using miles can go a long way, if you can find what is often rare award space.

American Airlines has been historically pretty stingy about releasing Saver Business Class awards on its flagship routes to deep South America, especially during the Northern Hemisphere winter season (summer down in South America).

If you book now though, there’s very good availability at Saver Business Class prices for just 57,500 miles one way.

Here’s New York to Rio in December for at least 2 passengers…

And into February…

Miami to Santiago is a gold mine…

Underrated Miami – Montevideo even has good space during the high season…

And so does Buenos Aires ahead of the holidays…

If you’ve been hoping to head down to Southern South America, these are the months you want to be there, and this is a great opportunity to get down there in lie flat comfort on 10+ hour flights at a good price. It’s an outstanding value for your AAdvantage miles.
