Free United Club passes to Bears and 49ers games for Premier members

by on Thu November 12, 2015 • No Comment

United Clubs are located at dozens of airports around the world, and getting in requires a United Club membership, a one time pass, an international business or first class ticket, or Star Alliance Gold status on an international trip.

But there are also two United Clubs at stadiums: Levi’s Field in Santa Clara, home of the 49ers, and Soldier Field in Chicago, home of the Bears.

And if you’re a United Premier member, you can request free access to the clubs when you’re attending a game via the MileagePlus Exclusives website.

You don’t need to be a United Club member to get access – any Premier level member of MileagePlus can request it.

Normally, you can only access these clubs if you have a ticket with designated access to the clubs, so as a Premier member you can access the club even when you’re in seats that don’t normally get access.

Club level seats at Soldier Field often run for $300 or more face value, so getting free access to the bars and food areas normally reserved for Club level seats is a nice perk.  Drinks and food aren’t free like they are in the airport United Clubs, but you’ll find over 100 TVs tuned to the game, 8 bars with shorter waits than the standard stadium bars, better food for purchase, and more.

There are passes available for most of the remaining Bears games, but there’s a limit of 2 passes per MileagePlus Premier member per game, so you can bring one friend along.

Passes to the remaining 49er games this season are sold out right now, but if more open up, there is a more generous limit of 4 passes per MileagePlus Premier member.

And to be clear, this offer was made available before both teams established losing records this season, so keep an eye on it next year if you’re not faithful.

How do you get the passes?

  • Login to MileagePlus Exclusives with your MileagePlus number
  • Click on ‘Premier Exclusives’
  • You’ll see the team logos and you can request your passes by clicking on them

If you’re a United Premier or Chase cardholder, it’s a good idea to check back from time to time and see what new perks are on offer. You’ll often find good deals on private restaurant events or backstage access to shows for reasonable mileage prices. Some are auctions, and others are straight up ‘buy it now’ opportunities.

For example, right now any MileagePlus member can spend 10,000 miles to watch the 49ers / Seahawks game in the Levi’s Stadium club (it’s an away game, so you’re watching on TV), get free food and drinks, tour the locker room, and get a meet and greet with Jerry Rice to remember better days for the team.

Or for 50,000 miles you can get two suite tickets to the Chicago Blackhawks / Colorado Avalanche game, with full food and beverage included.
