$3 off premium wines at United Clubs with United Club Visa

by on Fri October 12, 2012 • 2 Comments

Not the biggest perk in the world, but if you frequent United Clubs you know they offer some really good wines ‘at cost’ (about $10 per glass for $30-$50 per bottle wines). Until earlier this year holders of the United Presidential Plus and United Club Visa credit cards received a $3 discount on premium wines and liquor, bringing those wines into the exceptional value range. That discount was unceremoniously removed around March.

But now…it’s back for the premium wines according to ads posted in United Clubs right now.

Just use a United Club Visa or United Presidential Plus (former Continental Presidential Plus) card to pay for the wine.  And you can enjoy selections like…

  • Stags Leap Artemis
  • Rombauer Chardonnay
  • Caymus Conundrum

For less than $10 per (healthy poured) glass. Something you won’t see in any restaurant or bar. Thanks to FlyerTalk for seeing this.

Are any of the United cards offering the discount on wine currently? If its just the Presidential Plus card, can you even still get this card?

@Mary – The United Club Card also offers the discount. It’s the same as the Presidential Plus, but instead of earning Premier Qualifying Miles it earns a 50% ‘regular’ mile bonus on all spending.
