Delta SkyMiles

THIS OFFER HAS EXPIRED.

Delta is back out with a new 35,000 mile offer for the Delta SkyMiles Gold American Express that expires August 19, 2012. You need to spend $750 in 3 months to qualify for the bonus, and there is no annual fee the first year.

Remember, all Delta Airlines branded credit cards offer…

  • Priority boarding in Zone 2 of Delta Airlines flights
  • Free first checked bag for you and up to 8 other people in your reservation
  • A 20% discount on inflight food, beverage, and entertainment purchases

The current ‘normal’ bonus on the Delta SkyMiles credit cards is 30,000 miles, so this is a modest bump up.

I received the 35K miles for $1000 spent in 90 days but they did up my offer to 50k miles for $2000 spent. Call them. They will work out a good deal, I’m sure.

@Matt – Worth giving a shot. They have done it sporadically in the past. This 35k offer was apparently sent to all ‘general members’ of SkyMiles so seems pretty wide.

I received the 35K miles for $1000 spent in 90 days, but they were nice enough to change my offer to the 50k if u spend $2000. Just call and ask. I’m sure they’ll agree to offer u the same.

Do I get to keep all the 35,000 bonus SkyMiles if I cancel the card before the renewal date (to avoid the annual fee)?

@Dan- No guarantees, but don’t see anything in the terms and conditions that says they will be forfeited in that instance. But to be safer you may want to spend the miles before that.

I do believe you have to be a member for at least one year. That seems to be the consensus on many cards.
