100,000 British Airways mile credit card bonus (50k now, 50k later)*
It’s been several months since a new 100,000 mile bonus offer has appeared on the mile credit card scene.
Enterprising travel blogger ‘Million Mile Secrets‘ has uncovered a subtly promoted 100,000 mile offer for the British Airways Visa from Chase.
It’s intriguing, but there are a couple of catches that limit the audience to people who really plan to fly British Airways. That’s why we put an asterisk in the headline:
- You have to book a British Airways flight and elect to use your new card to pay for it
- You get 50,000 miles after that first purchase, but have to wait a year for the next 50,000 miles to post
- This is not valid for prior or existing holders of the card
So if you tend to use British Airways miles and had been waiting for a good offer, this is not a bad one to consider.
There is no direct link to the offer. You need to:
- Go through the process of booking a flight at the U.S. version of BA.com,
- Fill in the information until you get to the payment page. This is not targeted 100% of the time.
- If it is running you will see an option to pay for the trip with a new British Airways Visa and get the bonus or move on to normal payment.
We tried it without logging in with our British Airways miles number, booking a basic U.S. – London cheap fare, and the offer showed up.
