Or, consider other cards for 50,000 or more miles or points that transfer into United miles with additional flexibility for your everyday spending.

Note: As of March, 2012 the Continental Airlines OnePass program is merged into the United Airlines Mileage Plus program. All credit cards from now on are United Airlines credit cards. Continental Airlines branded credit cards are no longer offered, but the United Airlines credit cards carry the same or similar benefits.
There are several airline credit cards that offer miles for travel on Continental Airlines via its OnePass program. The Continental Airlines branded cards offer the added benefit of checked bag fee waivers, while the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card offers the flexibility of transferring miles into other airline and hotel programs.
Continental is a member of Star Alliance, and its miles are good for travel on other airlines, including United, US Airways, Lufthansa, Swiss, Singapore Airlines, ANA, Asiana, and more. Continental and its new parent United have our favorite program for U.S. based global mile redemption.
Note that Continental is merging with United. The Continental Airlines credit cards will automatically convert to United Airlines credit cards from Chase as the merger completes. The benefits of the Continental OnePass Plus MasterCard and new United Explorer Visa are already aligned. Sometime early next year you will receive a new card. Your Continental and United miles will also be consolidated into one account, but you can already freely transfer your Continental miles between your United and Continental mileage accounts.
