If Delta’s unannounced inflation of partner award prices got you mad, it’s tame compared to this.

Spirit Free Spirit is now charging 2,147,483,647 miles for one way awards on travel dates in 2018.

Here’s New York to Fort Lauderdale…

Dallas to Los Angeles…

And, even Los Angeles to Oakland…

This is (likely) an error.

But with Spirit, anything’s fair game, with miles that expire after 90 days of no earning activity.

And it’s a long way from promising 3 round trip tickets with a 15,000 mile bonus offer from the Spirit credit card, even though that was a stretch to begin with.

It also makes 375,000 miles one way for business class on Delta to Australia look like a bargain.

2147483647 is 0x7fffffff in hexadecimal – meaning it’s likely a placeholder value or computer glitch.
