There are two fresh transfer bonuses for October to save on your next award trip.
Alitalia Millemiglia isn’t a very easy to use program. The call center agents don’t handle special situations well, and there are fuel surcharges on most awards across the Atlantic.
But the award prices are appealing.
Awards to Asia and South America on SkyTeam partners like Delta and Korean Airlines have no or very low fuel surcharges, and are great deals in both Economy and Business, like…
If you’re willing to brave the agents, these are great prices and transfers from Amex to Alitalia are instant.
The most interesting part of Etihad Guest is its cheap pricing for American Airlines flights. Etihad’s prices mirror the AAdvantage award prices in place before American raised them earlier this year, so with the transfer bonus you can stack the savings.
You can still get to Europe in Business Class on American Airlines for 100,000 Etihad Guest miles roundtrip, or just 84,000 points transferred in. The catch is finding award space in Business Class on American’s own flights is a challenge.
A better bet is to fly American in Economy to Europe on off peak dates (October 15 – May 15) for 40,000 miles roundtrip, or just 34,000 points transferred in with no fuel surcharges. There’s plenty of award space to take advantage of this great deal.
You can also grab flights on Brussels Airlines between New York and Brussels for just 36,620 miles one way in Business Class, or just 31,000 miles with the transfer bonus.
Just beware you need to book partner awards at least 14 days in advance via Etihad Guest by calling 1-888-8-ETIHAD.
