If you’ve been waiting to apply for a Delta SkyMiles Amex Card, now is a good time to jump.
The Gold and Platinum versions are each offering better than usual bonuses, with the Platinum at a record high for a public offer.
But remember with American Express you can only get a bonus once in your lifetime for each individual card. So for example if you’ve had a personal Gold Delta SkyMiles Amex card, you can’t get the bonus again. But you could get a bonus for business version of the card, or a personal Platinum SkyMiles card if you haven’t had either before.
Here are the offer details…
Get 70,000 miles + 10,000 MQMs + a $100 statement credit when you apply for the Platinum Delta SkyMiles credit card and spend $3,000 on your card within 3 months. You get the statement credit when you make a Delta purchase of any size, including gift cards with your new card within 3 months. There’s a $195 annual fee that’s not waived.
This is the highest public offer we’ve seen for this card, and the prior high was for 60,000 miles, so this is a great deal if you’ve been holding out.
The bonus miles tend to post right after you meet the spending requirement, so this is a good opportunity if you’re trying to hit the next Medallion status level this year.
This deal is also available for the Business version of the Platinum Delta SkyMiles credit card
Get 50,000 miles + a $100 statement credit when you apply for the Gold Delta SkyMiles credit card and spend $2,000 on your card within 3 months. You get the $100 statement credit when you make a Delta purchase (any size) with your new card within 3 months. There is a $0 introductory annual fee the first year, then $95.
The catch is you can only see this offer if you go through the process of trying to buy a ticket on Delta.com. You’ll see the deal once you get to the page with all the flight and price details, but that’s before you have to enter your personal information and payment details, so it’s pretty easy to find.
If you don’t want to go through the process of booking on Delta.com, which isn’t very hard, here’s a direct link for 50,000 miles with a $50 statement credit.
There’s also a 50,000 mile + $50 deal for the Business version of the Gold Delta SkyMiles credit card.
Amex has made targeted offers on the Gold SkyMiles card as high as 70 – 75,000 miles, so you might want to check your SkyMiles number at DeltaAmexCard.com to see if you’re eligible for something better.
These deals expire 11/9/2016.
