That’s enough for $250 worth of free flights on any Southwest flights, or over $400 in free flights on those with ‘Wanna Get Away’ fare availability (which is pretty wide if you plan ahead).

You get the miles posted after your first purchase. There are no minimum spending requirements like having to spend $3,000 within 3 months. Just make a purchase on the card and the points will show up. The only catch is a $69 annual fee, though each year you renew you will get 3,000 bonus points.

Southwest named one of the most generous programs for free flights

If you plan to fly Southwest at all in the future, this is an offer worth considering. Southwest offers a good reward program if your travel plans include its destinations. It was named as one of the easiest mile programs for redemption in a study earlier this year. 100 Southwest miles = $1 in credit for ‘Anytime’ fares — which are always available if there’s a seat on the flight, or $1.67 in credit toward discount ‘Wanna Get Away’ fares.

Note though that if you’ve applied for a credit card with a bonus from Chase recently you might want to hold off on applying for this one for about a month — as they sometimes deny applicants for taking advantage of bonus offers and cancelling or not using the card in a short period of time. If they do deny you for this, Chase has been known to reverse its decision in your favor — just call them back and ask for the reconsideration desk.
