NOTE EFFECTIVE MARCH 2012 THE ONE PASS PLUS CARD IS NO LONGER OFFERED. IT IS REPLACED BY THE UNITED MILEAGE PLUS EXPLORER CREDIT CARD WITH IDENTICAL FEATURES AND BENEFITS.

United and Continental Airlines announced today that holders of the Continental Airlines OnePass Plus credit card can check their first bag free on both United and Continental flights. Previously this benefit was only good on Continental flights.

With United and Continental merging, this is now the best choice among United and Continental’s credit cards. The United legacy credit cards do not offer a free checked bag benefit. Also remember, you can now transfer miles freely between United and Continental mileage accounts, so the Continental Airlines credit card earns you native United Mileage Plus miles.
